The Garden City Recreation volleyball camp introduces participants to the fundamentals of volleyball. Skills covered in the camp include serving, setting, passing, hitting, blocking, and the basics of team offense and defense. Registration includes a camp volleyball t-shirt. Camp is at GCREC Gym

Ready to start volleyball? In this beginner league basic volleyball skills and hand-eye coordination are emphasized. Children are assigned to teams by school or area. Teams meet for a 15-minute practice, followed by a 25-minute game. Teams will have one practice during the week for 30 minutes for the first two weeks before their first game.

Can you DIG it? That's right! It's volleyball season! Our Youth Volleyball leagues teach basic volleyball techniques and focus on learning and developing as a player. Teams will play a 10-game season. Practices are scheduled weekly in school gyms. Workouts for the 5-6 grade girls will be held to evaluate players and establish a rating to create teams.
